Your Story Edit
So, what do you do now? Have an answer you're proud of.
A positioning service by Vivi Koroma Kala for senior people whose public profile hasn't caught up with their work.
I work out what you're already known for, and what you should be known for, and give you the words to close the gap.
"Beyond all my expectations."
Looking for Leadership Story Edit Sessions for your team?"When Vivi helped me, it was like bits of a jigsaw fell into place. I thought, this is it, this is what I needed to know"

Your track record is like a shop. You built it and stocked it, but people looking you up only see the window, and most senior people still have their CV in it.
A CV is a receipt for work you've already done. Your Story Edit fills the window with what's next.

“I wanted to position myself for the direction I’m moving in,not the record I have behind me.”
A 2-minute test
Write down the 3 pieces of work you're proudest of from the last 5 years. Then search your name. How many of the 3 could a stranger find?
WHO YOUR STORY EDIT IS FOR
This might be you
- You're about to leave a job where the name above the door did a lot of the talking.
- You have a strong and important opinion about your industry and you've never once said it in public under your own name.
- You're moving from one thing to the next and you struggle to answer "so what do you do now?"
- You know visibility matters, and you'd happily never post again.
Most people book when something is about to change. A move, a launch, a conversation that's coming. I'm noticing that point 4 in this list comes up more often than any of the others, and it's the easiest to solve.
12 weeks from now
Someone at a dinner asks what you do now, and you answer in 1 line without apologising for it.
A headhunter searches your name and finds the 3 pieces of work you’re proudest of.
You open LinkedIn knowing what you’d write about, and what you’d happily never touch.
And when the bigger conversation comes, you walk in sounding like you’ve already arrived.

RECOMMENDATIONS
What people say
“Having participated in business coaching programs, and being a mentor myself, I found Your Story Edit experience beyond all my expectations. Vivi's expertise in finding the right words to describe your story and her talent in collecting and curating the shared information made the process rich and engaging. The resulting 'edit' was so valuable that I plan to make this an on-going experience every few months.”
“I’d spent my first 9 months in business doing great work and honing my own method for leadership development, but my LinkedIn was still a legacy of my previous track record. I wanted to position myself for the direction I’m moving in, not the record I have behind me. I was surprised by how much Vivi could gather from my existing activity and content, and how powerful it was to combine that with our conversations. Her recommendations were clear and actionable. I now have a framework for sharing the important moments in my work in a way that shows the impact I can have, without feeling sales-y. It has added real confidence to how I talk to people about my work.”
“Vivi Koroma Kala is brilliant at connecting ideas and turning them into campaigns that bring together content, communications and community to create real impact.”
“If you're after someone to thoughtfully and strategically connect audiences to your work, Vivi is most certainly someone who can shape those stories.”
"The way someone turns up and the energy they bring to our talks is half the job, and Vivi was fantastic. She came with genuine knowledge, generosity and humility. The community loved her and I can't wait to have her back again. Vivi is the kind of person I would work with any day of the week because she's smart, thoughtful and has the best energy."

Half a day on your profile, your press, and your panels. - 3.
What to do next.
A 90-minute session where we work through what I found, then your plan, and a 30-minute follow-up 12 weeks later.

Who this isn't for
If you're early in your career and building an audience from scratch, this isn't the right fit yet. Neither is it right if you want a posting schedule, growth hacks, or someone to write everything for you forever. This is for people with 15 or more years behind them who need the words for what they've already done and for what they want to be known for next.
A good window needs full shelves
I agree with the people who say a good story can't make up for thin work. So I only work with people who've done the work.
Everyone has lots of threads in their story. My job is to find the one worth pulling, so you're the same shape online as you are in the room.
The most-read post I've ever written was about our stolen car, and it didn't bring in a single client. Plenty of people walked past the window, and nobody came in for what I actually do. Reach and reputation are two different jobs, and this is about the second one.

The objection
You do not have to be open all hours
There are no 30-day challenges here, and I'm never going to ask you to post every day before breakfast. Visibility works like a shop light. It just needs to be on. Most people who notice your shop won't say a word. Journalists, hiring managers and future clients look quietly, then come back when they need someone like you. A few well-positioned posts about the right things go a long way.
About
Who you would be doing this with
I'm Vivi Koroma Kala, a leadership storyteller. I've spent 16 years in marketing, including 5 years growing the Squiggly Careers podcast from 100,000 downloads to 5.6 million. I'm based in London and work with people wherever they are. The best part of a story is often hiding in a throwaway line or a detail in the margins. Finding that thread and pulling on it is most of my job. Sarah Ellis once described me in 3 words: curious, creative and collaborative. I'd add a fourth, which is curator. Most people arrive with their story scattered, and I'm good at turning it into a shape they can use. I also speak at events on storytelling and AI. See my talks
